September Meeting
The Beautification Committee for the M.L.K.Jr. Park, a.k.a. "The Green", will not hold it's monthly meeting on the first Monday of the month due to the Labor Day holiday. Rather, the meeting will be held 5:30 PM, Monday, September 8th, at the St. Helena Branch Library.
It has been noted that The Green was the location of a large Labor Day celebration. An event sponsored by the Young Men’s Social Club was held on The Green to mark the end of summer and the beginning of the new school year. This event featured a variety of foods, games, band music and dancing.
